Sunday Coffee – All the Little Things

So many things are happening, so this will be more of a list post, trying to wrap my head around stuff, plus celebrating some fun new things!

Morrigan was told that his March 5th ship date is probably pretty first, so he went out and got a job at a nearby pizzaria and he starts on Monday full time. Yay! This also means he’ll get to be here for his birthday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, which is nice, though I feel bad that we’ll all be on vacation in November without him (since we expected him to be in Kansas when we bought the tickets!).

I have a new Garmin Forerunner. Technically it can be used all day/night long like any activity tracker, but I got it specifically for my walks/runs. It’s lime green in honor of my Seahawks.

Speaking of which, football season has started! This year I’m in a fantasy football league that my brother-in-law set up, consisting of a dozen members of my Roper-side family. Laurence is in it, too, and he is basically dictating my choices because I don’t have a clue what I’m doing.

We managed to snag tickets for the whole family for an advanced screening of Downton Abbey at Alamo Drafthouse, IN FANCY DRESS!! We’re supposed to dress as Downtonesque as we can, which means I’ve been on the hunt for something plus-size, fancy evening wear, Downtonesque-enough, and that I can reuse on the fancy night(s) on November’s cruise. Sadly, most thrift stores, even the good ones, only have options for very slim evening wear. Thankfully Torrid had a good option for me. It’s not really long enough to be Downton era, but it’s similar enough in style for me, and will work for later as well. Now, to find good shoes to go with it…

Our orchid is getting ready to bloom again! We were really surprised it happened so soon after the last time.

Wizards Unite has introduced dragons, starting with a special three-hour event yesterday. Jason and I had fun running around and catching dragons! I love that HPWU keeps introducing new things on a regular basis. I know most people have ditched the game but I adore it!

And I think that’s just about it for the week! Hope everyone is well!
