Published Fanfics

The personal traumas of my 2014/2015 years caused me to shut down emotionally – to put myself in a box, metaphorically speaking, in order to survive the years that followed. Cutting out my ability to feel meant that I could no longer write fiction. Everything I attempted came out flat and shallow. I kept pushing through mid-2016 with the second draft of my novel Maldralith. However, I eventually grew to believe I would never write fiction again. Then, in August 2023, I watched Good Omens Season 2, and the story lit my soul on fire and broke open the box I’d imprisoned myself in.

Fanfiction was not something I ever thought I’d find myself writing. I had all sorts of snobby ideas about it which are not uncommon among people who have never read or written the stuff. But a story was developing in my head that I could not get out, and eventually, I stopped trying to hold back. I didn’t know if I would publish it – that felt way too humiliating – but I wrote the book, then went back and wrote a second draft of it. Then I decided – fuck it, I’ll post this.

Good Omens opened a floodgate that I’d dammed up for almost a decade. It changed my life, not just through writing, though that’s what I’m addressing here. Since that first book, I haven’t stopped writing. As I approached the one-year mark, my writing slowed, as if everything I’d kept inside for so long had finally been spoken and I could find a better balance than the frantic outpouring of words that was my first year back to the page. In that year, I wrote six full-length novels and several short stories, somewhere between 450k-500k altogether. My current total (June 2026) is now 21 works of varying lengths, for over 777k published. That’s roughly 8-11 traditionally published novels in terms of length. And after almost three years of writing fanfic, I’m starting to think about branching into original fiction again!

So I figured it was about time to create an index of my stories. Titles link out to AO3. Double asterisks indicate that there are at least a few illustrations included in the fic.
