After the brutal murder at the end of Season 4 of reality TV series The Escape Game, no one expected the show to continue. But continue it has, with a whole new round of contestants, including the younger sister of the murdered girl. Most people believe she’s guilty of the crime, but she’s there to get answers. Regardless of the cost.
You know, this book really surprised me. I put it on my list because I liked the idea of reading about escape room reality TV, but I figured that I’d read a page or two and decide it wasn’t for me. Nope. This was a really gripping book. There were mysteries on top of mysteries, and I didn’t see any of the twists coming.
Including the fact that while this book has an end, it’s also the start of a series. Whoops. I forgot that so many YA novels are set up that way these days. This barely came out, so it’ll be a looooong time before the next one drops. Ah well. Like I said, this can be read as a standalone, so if I forget about it before the next one publishes, I’m not too worried. Still, it was one helluva book, first one in awhile that had me this invested, to the point of not wanting to put the book down. Hats off to both authors.
