Published Fanfics

The personal traumas of my 2014/2015 years caused me to lose my desire and ability to write fiction. I pushed hard to keep it going, but the last thing I wrote was in mid-2016, finishing a second draft of my novel Maldralith. Eventually, I grew to believe I would never write fiction again. However, in August 2023, I watched Good Omens Season 2, and the story lit my soul on fire and woke me up for the first time in a decade.

Fanfiction was not something I ever thought I’d find myself writing. I had all sorts of snobby ideas about it which are not uncommon among people who have never read or written the stuff. But a story was developing in my head that I could not get out, and eventually, I stopped trying to hold back. I didn’t know if I would publish it – that felt way too humiliating – but I wrote the book, then went back and wrote a second draft of it. Then I decided – fuck it, I’ll post this.

Good Omens opened a floodgate that I’d dammed up for almost a decade. It changed my life, not just through writing, though that’s what I’m addressing here. Since that first book, I haven’t stopped writing. As I approached the one-year mark, my writing slowed, as if everything I’d kept inside for so long had finally been spoken and I could find a better balance than the frantic outpouring of words that was my first year back to the page. In that year, I wrote six full-length novels and several short stories, somewhere between 450k-500k altogether. Below is a linked list to my works, in the order that they were written.

New Skin for an Old Wolf (T, 89k – post-S2 canon-compliant)
Separated on different planes of existence, neither Aziraphale nor Crowley are at their best. Both Heaven and Hell are scheming, and a new kind of Armageddon is at hand. One that will take the combined power of angels, demons, and humans to overcome – if they ever start talking.

Note: This was my first fiction writing in over seven years, so it suffers from a lot of issues.

Daughter of God (E, 45k – post-S2 canon compliant crack fic)
The last thing Crowley expects as he sits at St. James Park is to be approached by a young girl who declares him her adopted father. Okay, maybe the last thing he expects is for her to somehow miracle up tortured Aziraphale, and call them both her parents. But Jo is the daughter of God, and she kinda gets to do what she wants.

Tender Morsels (M, 61K – pre/post S1 & S2, canon-adjacent)
What if the Fall had nothing to do with Good and Evil? What if God’s decision to split angels and demons was for other reasons? When Aziraphale and Crowley fumble through their first drunken kiss, something changes. Something begins to grow. But can they find a path forward together when all of heaven and hell think of fraternizing as an act of treason?

Aziraphale’s Bucket List (E, 61k – post-S2 canon-compliant crack fic)
A month after Aziraphale follows the Metatron into Heaven, he’s gotten himself reassigned to earth. He’s finally free to express his love…but Crowley isn’t ready. Aziraphale comes up with a Plan.

This Phantom Life (E, 87k – human AU)
Zee Marsh is a widowed hermit who secretly writes bestselling romance novels under the pseudonym Bella Swansea. His life is rigorously controlled until his new downstairs neighbor arrives. Anthony Crowley causes something to come alive in Zee that he hasn’t seen in over twenty years, but Crowley brings with him some of his own very dark secrets.

Rapture on the Seas (E, 89k – human au crack fic)
Zira and Crowley do not have a meet-cute. Their first accidental crash into each other results in enmity, and now they’re assigned to the same dinner group on their two-week transatlantic cruise. Of course, they’re also dating anonymously online, and planning to meet up soon…

To Catch a Ghost (T, 17k – human au crack fic)
An angel and a demon – or rather, a believer and a skeptic – host a ghost-hunting vlog together while trying to ignore their mutual, unspoken feelings. Then they get trapped in a maybe-haunted house.

The Regret List (E, or M with skippable spicy sections, 107k – human au)
Divorced, almost fifty, and still mostly in the closet, Aziraphale receives a challenge: create a Regret List, set right what he can, and learn to live a more authentic life. He knows exactly where he needs to start – Anthony Crowley.

Dead Right (E, or T with skippable spicy sections, 125k – human au fluff fic)
In order to keep the family bookshop, Aziraphale must marry by his 45th birthday. He’s introduced to Crowley, and the two make an arrangement to enter a (platonic) fake marriage until the business is secured. It’s a sound idea…until their feelings for each other grow, and both try to hide it.
