Compared to the other two Jessica Warman books I’ve read, this one didn’t impress me as much. The concept was fantastic, if a bit like Lauren Oliver’s Before I Fall, and I was hooked by the story the whole time. However, some of the dialogue and characterization felt off from time to time, and at times I really had to suspend disbelief that the characters really couldn’t figure out what was obvious for a really long time. Still, despite that, it definitely captured my attention and had me staying up well past my normal bedtime so that I could finish it.
